I don't remember if I mentioned, but one way you can tell it has been a dry few months is that the bougainvillea are particularly vibrant. I have been admiring the white bougainvillea every day when we drive up to the condo. White is not common for bougainvillea.
If the property were ours alone, I would clip some and put them in a vase. They keep well. But they are on common property, so I feel that they are there for everybody to enjoy. After all, if someone else had clipped them and taken them home, I wouldn't have the pleasure of seeing them.
This is what regular bougainvillea look like. They are pretty splendid, too.
