I've mentioned this globe in my blog before. I just noticed that globe and blog sort of rhyme - to my ear, anyway. My cousin Karim gave me this globe in 1990. It still has the Soviet Union on it. It casts a nice light, which is why I keep it by the bedside. Maybe some day I should bring it up to Boston.
